Seems legit given the recent price drop of the current one.

I really hope so

putting the AppStore on the Apple Tv will completely change the set top box segment and give Apple a major advantage

also hoping for a wireless remote (bluetooth or otherwise) rather than IR

will be the same apple tv

Strangely d APN in personal hotSpot was missing. I typed it in, reboot and it came back

If it's strictly school i would go for the MacBook air... I went all out in the mbpr with my decision and end up with a bigger 6000$ hole in my pocket

The thing is nowadays you have to get bang for your buck. For school I'd say the air. If you're into video editing, graphics, DJing etc and heavy usage otherwise MBP is the way. Pay for what you'll realistically use. If you're new to the Mac World get a good feel with the Air. As a student, faster startup, light, thin, portability it's gonna be good. Plus you still can use for entertainment...

depending on what programs you are running, windows laptop may be better instead of having to sideload windows just to run some programs

Use VirtualBox for your Windows VMs. It's free. No need to boot separately.
Or use paid apps like Parallels Desktop or VMWare Fusion to fully integrate OSX and Windows.
