Used pieces of insulation underlay for vehicles and wedged it between the foam in the seat and the metal that it was rubbing against. Easy fix. Haven't figured out how to access the bottom part of the seat though....

Started off with a damp smell then i bought those high smelling tin air freshener to mask the scent and this made it worse once or wore off..

Car is fabric, changed ac filter and shampooed interior. Smell still there :/

Anyone got any thoughts? I just want back a neutral smelling car, not a fruit box taxi or a wet old sock... Help

Try putting some baking soda in an open container and leave it in the car overnight. It usually neutralises the scent.

U checked ur trunk carpet btw?

For mine i removed the seat bolts and placed the thin 3m rubber matting in between seat metal and car....

Nah my bolts were tight as hell, couldn't get them loosened. The issue was the side bolster rubbing against the seat frame which I fixed.
