HELP NEEDED, vibration on MAZDA 3

Postby triniboythug » April 24th, 2015, 1:22 pm

Hey tuners, I have a 2008 Mazda 3 and I've started having this issue when accelorating that am getting a vibration coming through the steering wheel, its not the type you get like if the tyres need speed balancing. To put it as best as I can say is it sounds like 2 heavy pieces of metal vibrating against each other. The steering has no shimming but a constant vibration at any speed. Anyone please !!!

Based on the details you gave, first things that come to mind are most likely the transmission and/or engine mounts are busted.

As mentioned however, it would be best to get it checked out by a mechanic to make sure.

check steering rack ends/tie rods ends, i had that issue in my mzd3 some years ago, when i press brake used to vibrate the steering, nothing on the brake peddle etc. changed the mounts and still had it, then changed out the rack ends and it was fixed, would recommend you go original tho, alot of inferior parts that dont last.

Having this issue happening on my MZ3 now. Was it the inner or outer tie rod ends that needed changing, or both?

let your mechanic/suspension person give your vehicle a check....it may be a host of issues or one!
