Anyone living Gran Couva?

looking for some info from anyone living in the Grand Couva area. I maybe moving to the area and really need to get this info.
1. How reliable are the taxi's in there?
2. Whats the situation with pipe borne water, how often do you guys get supply?

1. Taxi service there hard to get... From Preysal you good to go but beyond there its difficult...

2. WASA currently in the process of putting in new pipelines etc... So water would not be a problem...

The roadways there are about 6/10... Some parts of the road are narrow and like i said before they diggin road for pipeline so you know de scene.... And on weekends there are alot of maxi and buses on the road because of La Vega Estate... Dont live there but i work on that side every friday...

Taxi service is poor, you can wait for more than an hour sometimes. I sold my car and opted to travel once...that experiment lasted only one week! To this day a lot of people hike to Preysal (after that its easy). Many Preysal taxi drivers actually live Gran Couva. Water is kinda bad....we get twice or three times a WEEK -fixed- (tank up!)

The good side: Scenic Central Range, very low in serious crimes, and 5 mins from highway!

Been looking into the area recently to purchase land. Haven't found anything yet but some of the issues that i've seen while checking out places was no flow / cable, water issue is going to be solved, no close groceries or pharmacy's and as said before the roads aren't the best for people with cars... 4x4 ftw.

Anyone know of decently priced land in Grand Couva 2+ lots? Hit me a PM if you do!

There's a sort of mini west morings in gran Couva where there's a group of affluent white folk living. It's neatly tucked away from prying eyes between some hills .

living in gran couva approx 28 years now.
water is about 2-3 times per week. if you have about three tanks and a pump you should be good, this is based on the size of your family.
please get a vehicle. taxi service is the worst.
the road is OK.

It's best you start reading classified adds for land sale. Or maybe take a drive and look for sale signs

used to stay there back in 2007.
Be prepared to walk long distances to get a taxi depending on the location of your home.
