Is there a memory leak with Yosemite? Retina mbp has 10 gigs hard drive free space. If mbp is run continuously for a few days or even left to sleep the hard drive space dwindles to zero. OS X tells me no free space. Machine restarted and presto the free space is back to 10 gigs: rinse and repeat.

I'm guessing it has to do with the memory swapping or so?

First check and ensure that local backups are not being kept.

If they are you should see "Local Snapshots as space permits"

If so, run this command in terminal

sudo tmutil disablelocal

It will mark the backups for deletion and free up the space

Local backups were being kept. Ran the command you suggested. Thanks!

Will observe and report back.

Anyone ever purchased their macbook from b&h?

Seeing they have a good price on the mid 2014 model @ $2000 US with no sales tax...thinking of purchasing and sending to my skybox.

Think that's for apple care only.

Before you buy, check whether it's eligible for a free battery replacement.

Sigh...checked and no free battery replacement and the girl cracked the screen on it today. How ironic..So, along with the battery I already ordered I now have to order a screen....Ordering screens are a bit more touchy than even a battery so any suggestions about anyone you all have personally bought and used ?

what are you using it for? do you need CUDA?

Sapphire Radeon if you don't need CUDA on apps like Premiere Pro, otherwise you have to go nVidia.

I don't need CUDA, its just for light video editing.

Any specific Sapphire cards I should look for?

purchase one from one of those reputable sites like ifixit or etradesupply(not sure for idevices but shops locally purchase from here) or iCracked.
Probably would be better off buying a kit as opposed to the screen alone in case you break the tiny clip near the earpiece (as in the 5s).

Okay thanks guys I'd put the extra and get one of those. However another issue.. The top of it was popped out so she asked me to see if I can put it back in until I order the screen. So I was gna remove the screen from the bottom and reinsert it.. I used a suction cup and it completely separated the glass from the screen itself and the white part on the edge of the screen where the clips are.. Broke in half while prying it out and well while I'm pushing the pry tool under to remove the clip I'm seeing a silver thing idk what exactly it is.. I'm really scared to try remove it now. It's worth noting that the screen has already been changed by cell mates once and I'm assuming they used a cheap screen on it hence why this is happening cause last time I popped out an iPhone 5 screen it literally just came out with the suction cup.. Any advice?

I got a late 2013 MacBook Pro retina and trying to pair via Bluetooth with my iPhone, and it saying the laptop isn't compatible. Anybody have any advice? Or could it be a hardware problem.
