Same thing in Marabella right now... took me half hour to reach Farouks to get some food. Some men pass about three officers on one side only to be stopped by the fourth and fifth officer lower down the road. Things grimey today with vehiles pulled in by pegasus casino getting tickets. Negotiations or what?

There were around 6-7 bike cops parked on the CRH just after Valpark west bound this morning around 8.15 and I was wondering if something was going on cuz you usually don't see that much bike cops on a regular time.

Saw this on CNC's facebook page -
24-HOUR POLICE EXERCISE ON ROADS

The following is a statement from the Police Service:

"Officers of the Traffic and Highway Patrol Branch of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service are currently engaged in a 24 hour road traffic exercise aimed at enforcing all road traffic laws and regulations.

The exercise began at 9:00am today Thursday 13th August, 2015, and will continue until the expiration of the 24 hour period.

As part of the overall operation, several police checkpoints were established at specific locations along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway namely La Horquetta, Curepe, Aranguez and Beetham where ‘stop and searches’ of motorists and their vehicles were carried out.

Similar exercises also took place along the northern strip of the Uriah Butler Highway and the M2 Ring Road, Debe.

The DUI Task Force is also involved in the operation.

Snr. Supt. Beverly Lewis, of the Traffic and Highway Patrol Branch, is in charge of the operation."

You are driving your private car on the public road so they don't need a warrant to search your car, stupid statement

I doh understand ttps....you send out a release stating where all the police would be...do you think the criminals would pass there?...makes no sense conducting such exercises if you going tell d bandits where you going to be

I passed through Trincity probably as they set up. Switched to park lights as I passed through, said good evening, smiled and waved and passed through no problems.
