Tuners I need some tech support ASAP

Postby 2311 » December 3rd, 2015, 8:26 pm

Ok I've built computers in the past for my family and friends, but this pc I built is giving me nightmares. I ordered all the parts brand new except the PSU. About a month ago the system started to restart all of a sudden. It will not boot into windows. It seems to be a hardware problem coming from the motherboard or memory because I changed processor an I'm getting the same problem. I booted up using one ram chip an same problem.it boots for 10 sec then restarts. Sometimes it might even shut down after a reboot. I need some advice here tuners as I don't know what else to try other than getting a new motherboard. These are the specs. I'm using my phone as my pc so please forgive an misspelling or grams. This is the link for the video I made

Did you do a voltage test with everything connected? Or without load?

I'd recommend trying a different psu. You'd be surprised the symptoms a bad psu can cause

also borrow a mem stick from someone and try that too.
Both those Crucial sticks could be bad

If not change that powersupply

if none of the above works, try removing the board from the case and starting it up outside with the psu alone...

This wont be memory related. Bad memory would give you anything from BSOD to memory read/write errors.
Its a PSU problem, change it.
No start means you failing your POST
Shutting down after 10 seconds - overheating or preventive measure form cpu from failing/physical faulty device
You basically added new parts to an old PSU which may have already had its fair share of ware and tear on electrical circuitry.

Check to make sure that the board is not grounding off on case, make sure your stand off connectors are actually creating a space. Between board and case. Remove cmos battery, start system, replace battery, should work

I agree with posters above. This is a PSU problem. It most likely cannot supply/maintain the required voltage under load.

Could be as simple as the power button sticking....had this happen to me where i changed every component and still got the same issue...

Ended up shorting the power pin with a screwdriver and it worked....i then switched the power switch with the reset switch...

Glad you got tru op
