Now that there are problems with the Co2 emissions with the vw gasoline engines, are our jettas affected?

Does it matter? VW and car's in general in T&T are never advertised and/or sold with CO2 emissions figures in mind. Also there is no tax banding or limit to CO2 emissions in T&T on vehicles.

The only thing the car was advertised with was a 47 mpg (if I remember correctly) regarding economy. In my experience I found the Jetta exceeded this figure and got over 50 mpg when driven on the highway with economy in mind.

The diesel scandal doesn't really apply to us either, because we have no emissions standards for Nitrogen and sulphur dioxides. There are probably worse offenders here with those diesel pickup's that will probably fail a euro 1 emissions test and we running high sulphur diesel as well.

Cant confirm not deny accurancy on model year..but I can only regurgitate what I read on the article online from a news website....

I also know I saw they put a hold on newer modelled 2016 cars and have the older models under recall for a software update

Generally any VW 502/505 approved oil will work. It will be marked on the bottle. Usually this is 5w-40 engine oil.

Best auto uses castrol edge 5w-40. You can also get approved oils at ERM made by other manufacturers.

so y'all had the car, what, three years, and u never bother to glance at the specs?
It might seem like a minor detail, but at least half the ignorance among drivers comes from not reading the effing owners manual.....a lot of general safety information that people have no clue about, is contained in the first pages of all owners manuals...everything from safe distance from an airbag, to correct tyre pressures, to proper jump-start procedures.....I could understand if you have a roro from Singapoer and it's mostly gobbldegook, but jeez man...
I taught defensive driving for a few years,a nd during the part about general safety tips etc, people are always like 'but nah jed, how you expect we tuh know all dem ting?' Then, I'd ask for a owners manual at random from someone in the class, and point out everything I just spoke about...

Agree 100%

I read owners manuals on everything I buy. Even if I'm already familiar with the technology.

Found my car's manual online on Japanese and had it translated.

Was looking to buy a new tiguan but found a barely used, just under two years old tiguan with around 10k miles on it. So I rolling with that! Looking forward to exploring the DQ250 and see what its like vs its dry clutch cousin.

No worse than buying anything used....the Tiguan is the most reliable of the lot so you dont have much to worry about once you access the service history

Saw a guy in Australia mod a Tiguan. Ting was a beast in the end. 0-60 mph in like 5.5 sec n ting. Lowered. Generally OEM parts too.

Can those back seats move forward at all to increase trunk space?
I find the Jetta has a bigger boot

Any price drops or specials available now? Last I saw, price was around $275k for the top tier model.

The real challenge was calibrating the sixteen Vigo diesel pumps to feed the ERF truck injectors

Not sure bout the top but Jetta has a lower trim from 200-215K minus certain things like reverse sensors ans 17 inch wheels and sunroof etc.
