I dont understand how we can remove taxes on something that uses our subsidized electricity to charge. We use gas to make electricity and removed the subsidy on gas for IC engines but encouraging vehicles that take advantage of out electricity subsidy.

I would like to think its more of an environmental benefit. Fewer emissions for our toxic carbon output as a nation. We already have no emissions control/enforced control. Plus if yuh use ah solar-charge port... efficiency fuh so.

Tesla vehicles are protected by a 4 year, 50,000 miles (whichever comes first) new vehicle limited warranty and 8 year, unlimited mile battery and drive unit warranty.


Doubt they will be able to offer the same.

True the manufacturing process isn't environmentally positive. Although almost every aspect of manufacturing (of all products) incurs pollution. The difference being, the regular emissions of IC-driven vehicles add to global pollution,and obviously, electric cars don't.

I think they have benefits besides novelty. Cheaper to maintain/repair. Lighter than slush boxes generally and makes driving more fun imo. Autos are nice but paddleshifter clicking gets boring real quick. Q

Well you don't have to use the paddleshifter, you can still pull/push the gear leaver unless you in a merc.

How is the shifter stick any different from paddleshifters in terms of boredom with respect to an auto box regardless of dct or traditional slush box ? They do exactly the same and require zero thought input. Both get boring.

The autopilot will crash like a drunk monkey in Trini roads I would imagine... but the car is a nice drive. At 500-700k, you could get an E class or 5 series with gas for almost a decade.
