No problem with what your opinion is Loco, but strictly speaking the title, as far as Parliament is concerned, is reserved for Ministers of Cabinet and the Leader of the Opposition.

Dude PNM supporters invented the state of "crass and immature".
when Robbie was held captive, PNM people wished that he was shot dead. Those same people praised him when he selected the PNM over the UNC in 17-17 deadlock.

everyone suffers in some way,but to all his own,why op have to get the supporters vex boi?

Breaking News - MANNING SUFFERS SEIZURE
...back in hospital

By Sue-Ann Wayow

Story Created: Feb 21, 2013 at 6:15 PM ECT

Story Updated: Feb 21, 2013 at 6:29 PM ECT
Former Prime Minister Patrick Manning suffered a seizure at his constituency office in San Fernando this afternoon, and is tonight at the Emergency Department of the San Fernando General Hospital.

Hospitals officials have confirmed that Manning underwent a CT scan on the brain, and taken to the resuscitation room.

He was said to be sedated and being monitored by neurologist Dr Kanta Ramcharan and Head Emergency, Dr Ricardo Narinesingh.

The Express was told that Manning suffered a seizure at his constituency office at Coffee Street, San Fernando at around 4 p.m and was brought to the hospital by ambulance.

On the night of January 23 last year, Manning suffered a stroke at home, and taken to the San Fernando General Hospital before seeking treatment in the United States where he underwent physiotherapy, speech and occupational therapy treatment. He has been away from Parliament on medical leave since that time, and has limited strength on one side of the body.

However, he attended the Calypso Fiesta at Skinner Park, San Fernando earlier this month, and was on the streets of the city during the Carnival.

Manning has been the member of Parliament for San Fernando East since 1971.

Dude looks aweful yow.. sorry to see him this way..
I remember some years ago seeing ANR Robinson faint away during his stint as President of TnT at an Independence Parade... One of our most articulate politicians to this date... and the ultimate statesman...

It hard to see them fellas fade so... Buh is a lesson to all politicians in the state today.. when all the pump and valor gone.. just human you are...
you will die and most times be forgotten... Unless you leave an indelible mark and legacy...

The news said this is his second seizure since his stroke. After this event he really should retire from active politics as it's clear that his body just isn't able.

Hope he has a speedy recovery and...that good sense prevails.

Wasn't a fan of all his policies nor governance at times, but I respect what he did when he was doing it well and the position he held.

Tough business running a country, get well soon.

Former prime minister Patrick Manning has been taken to hospital and the nation is being asked to pray for him.

Manning, who served three terms as prime minister, was admitted to hospital on Monday night and his condition is listed as 'incapacitated'.

The announcement of Manning hospitalisation was made by Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley as he spoke at the opening of the Ministry of Education Tower in Port of Spain on Tuesday.

In 2012 Manning suffered a debilitating stroke, effectively ending a political career that began in the 1970s.

Manning also served as Opposition Leader on two occasions and was the longest serving Member of Parliament when he officially exited politics last year, having served as the MP for the constituency of San Fernando East for over 40 years (1971-2015).

He did kinda go power mad to the end, but I think he will be remembered as one of those benevolent type autocrats.

I wonder if Rowley praying for him. After all he did claim to be the cause of his demise health-wise. Is that hypocritical? Or does calling for prayer for Manning, but not praying for him, ok?
