Last year when the nurses did a two day strike because of lack of information on their revised salaries and back pay the government's response was a total media black out of the event.
Only radio talk shows mentioned it, the health centers were shut down and turned patients away. Hospitals were only seeing emergencies.

They even put a customer service rep to answer the phone at one of the DHF's and tell people that the dhf was functioning normally when they had not seen any patients for the day.

Didn't Imbert give a statement today that calculations had been done for all RHA's and funds would be disbursed tom and BP paid within 2 days thereof? Or are these nurses not under the RHAs?

Payday, usually for government jobs. This phrase dates back to WW2 when soldiers in the U.S. army referred to payday as "the day the eagle sh!t and so in the day of Our Lord Twenty Sixteen, this day the droppings of the eagle looks nice.
"Sorry dudes and dudets who will not be participating in the eagles diarrhea this month like RS, but don't beatup your day will come.
#eagle #sheit #payday #TnT#save ah money hard times ahead

Well yuh know that how things work in TnT, one has to make noise, block ah road, bun some tyres, tell somebody in government "dey mother", or shut down work on the whole to get what is rightfully yours.

from what I've heard that's the percentage they're playing with and they are in talks with the banks to cash them in @ face value 6 months after issuance. Since they're interest bearing if they issue them like other current bonds you'll essentially have an "e-bond" with registered account so it would be attractive to the banks to buy hold and earn the interest especially given the low investment market at present.

Bear in mind they also indicated they plan to offer cash as well just it would be in fiscal 2017 in 2 tranches, so the bonds is more appealing to the person who doesn't have immediate demand for the money

To me a bond in hand is better than cash in the bushes ... I don't trust them with dates and deadlines to pay cash next year especially when it's in two payments.
