Use a copper barrier
They don't like that
Or introduce frogs in your yard. Frogs eat them.
Take this advise. As it is the rainy season, use water resistant/proof Slug and Snail Bait. That little bugger is a slug. The bait has methalehyde (hope I spelt it correctly) and is one of the proven things to clean up both slugs and snails.
THIS IS THE BEST
Also they like places where the Soil PH is low or acidic. Use Aglime (sometimes called black limestone) from the Agri Shop, or crushed blue limestone (CBL) terrazzo stones which still have the dust. When they are doing road works you can get the fine materials from the CBL or crusheron. Sprinkle and they will be reduced and eventually die off. The advantage is the limestone is dolomitic and provides Calcium and magnesium which extends the life of your vegetables as the cell walls are formed properly and can ease constipation. (OK! This is the Old Talk Capital).
Yes don’t destroy the frogs if they digging up your plants. Just put them somewhere else to eat up insects that are pests. The earth depends on insects to pollinate our plants, birds and frogs to keep them in check.
You could throw those garden question my way. Will sort you out. Copper can affect the micro nutritional balance and lannate is not recommended due to its toxicity.
