Anyone tried the invicta automatics?? Sein the price looking pretty good on amazon. And whats the cost of a grandfather clock? And does anyone have a used or old one to sell or for free99??

Invicta uses a number of automatic movements of varying degrees of quality. The early "Scooby" model used a very reliable ETA movement and was a great watch.

I have seen some newer models using less expensive ETA or Miyota movements. They aren't as nice but they will get you there.

It's really difficult to resell almost any Invicta because their quality, with the exception of the Scooby, has been hit or miss. Most of their watches have love them or hate them styling, too.

This series from Casio is an excellent value for US$40. It has some quirks but anyone that has ever thought about owning a Casio ana-digi should very seriously consider buying one.

This series from Casio is an excellent value for US$40. It has some quirks but anyone that has ever thought about owning a Casio ana-digi should very seriously consider buying one.

The only reason I never bought an expensive casio watch is because the cheap one I bought 5 years ago is still going strong. Cheap casio edifice and it seems indestructible. I assume their tough watches and g-shocks are made with a nuclear holocaust in mind. A Casio would always be my daily beater. Can't go wrong (although I make an exception for the seiko 5 in the future)

Got this from the wifey for Christmas though. Something to compliment evening wear without making too much of a statement.

Yup. Eco drive is perfect for everyday watches. If you only wear it on special occasions just leave it in the sun next to a window one day every month or so and you should be good.

Gladiator I was considering this watch. How does it feel quality wise in real?

The quality is quite good...

very solid feel, the leather is nice and thick, the plating is smooth and even, the clasp is thick and sturdy the crystal is also of good quality. I decided to try it to see how well it performs, would update you of any problems if they arise.

That one is the Zilla with an OEM metal bracelet. It cannot use a rubber strap because the attachment is different. I have a couple of Zillas with Suppa adapters and they are really nice, imho. You can buy them online at Suppa parts.
