For crying out loud people please stop sharing this fake news

That is NOT the speed camera by El Socorro
Unless it get up and walk across the road
There's no legislation for that camera by El Socorro anyway. It's just collecting data for now.

The ticket the person got was from a speed gun used by police higher up by the walkover.

Oh and same issue with the red light cameras by Hyatt. They work and they analyze the data from it, but can't issue any tickets until the laws change to allow it. Which we hope they do very soon.

social media is poison. Accessible to every clown, fraudster and mischief-maker. Reminds me of the early days of widespread internet access, if the computer says so then it must be true.

this was discussed in another thread a long time ago
if it was supposedly legal, who do they send the ticket to ?
The car owner ?
Suppose it is a company car, do they send it to the directors ? or if it is a publicly owned company ?

Yet another example the absence of critical thinking prior to Sharing on social media.

In the US in the case of a rental car, the rental car company (owner) gets the ticket and passes it on to the person they rented it to for that period. Owner should know who was driving the car but they have to pay the fine initially and then try to recover from the driver.

they is a big difference over there though, plates are tied directly to the driver/company/offender
here plates are tied to the car, that is the legality that should be changed to make plate owner take full responsibility for any offenses

a major shift in how things would operate, ie selling your car you keep the plates and buyer puts on his plates
eliteness of "new series" might change
