Those 5k service intervals are absolutely crap..ever new cat I ever brought I challenge them as the manual always stated more. If they don't budge you can contact parent company and cc them on it. My current van has increased its service interval to 10k

Is there a cost savings extended to the consumer by doing a 10k service vs a 5k service?

If after 6 months my battery is only holding 20% charge...I consider that a failed battery; nowhere can that be considered normal degredation

Regarding oil change intervals, my owners manual states 5000km for severe driving conditions, and I fit into that category... Even so I usually go to 6500km on conventional oil. For diesel vehicles with an egr, I am still hesitant about telling persons 10000km even with synthetic oil; the soot loading is far greater.
After changing my oil it remains pretty clear, even after 1000km of running. My van has no EGR, no DPF and no Catalytic converter(haven't seen the cat converter). Same cannot be said of other vans.

I asked that same hypothetical question and they responded with a firm response that the 10 year warranty does not cover battery degradation just failure of the entire module.
They also said the car will run "normally" with a badly degraded battery its just that it will dip into engine power more often. A failed battery you will not be able to start the car cause of no Pb acid battery.

UK gets its hot off the press at the end of the year. So Sometime around mid next year should be a reasonable assumption.

Malay spec apparently gets a torque converter auto rather than the DCT powershift.
Should be same spec that we get.

Looks nice. Not sure about resale of Ford in Trinidad- I've found some good cars have low resale values like Mazdas and Fords. Then the dealers price apply some crazy prices to cars for example a 1.5 fusion is almost 350k. For that price I consider something else.

Regarding the 8yr warranty on the battery in the ioniq from Massy... Does that mean you have to service the vehicle by them for 8 years?

All that money you thought you saved... Going back to the dealer

Wonder if it's the same as those x5 hybrids and GoLF GTE, Passat hybrid and A3 etron hybrids, etc
Once I know they gonna be functional despite battery failure then I don't mind those at all.
I could live with an annoying CEL till I get that sorted out.

Honda Civic CNG/Petrol Hybrid $150,000 ( Price drop from $167,000)

This may be a good buy with price drop. I test drove one up Chancellor Hill and it drives good.
Sporty, quick and agile up the hill.

You have the option of CNG and/or Super Petrol when driving . It is switchable . Limited truck space since CNG tank is in the trunk.

Not sure about those ' battery hybrids" . Test drove a X-Trail at Crism ( $247,000 w/ 2 yr warranty or 30K KM) and the battery charge keeps at about 30%-40% and not seeing it going close to 100%. Maybe battery is "degrading." No "degrading" with CNG.

Buy the city and rip out that CNG sheit ... you get a really cheap city with loads of trunk space.
