Look at it this way. 9-and-a-half years is pretty old.
The cost of the original Toyota parts may be more than what the van is now worth. LOL !!!
You know, when my Fielder wagon was nearing ten years old doing about 100,000 kms the back bearing assemblies started to make noise. The original at Toyota was $2,830 for one. I opted to use aftermarket for $300 for one. That was four or more years ago. It took about ten minutes to remove, and ten to replace each one. They are still going OK, no problems.
At that price, I could buy one every six months and change it.
I had a Sentra B14 bought new from Neal and Massy, After two-and-a-half years the boots over the velocity joints had to be renewed. I bought aftermarket boots for $30 each. I sold the car when it was ten years old with the same replacement boots and no crackle of the velocity joints.
Pick sense from nonsense.
Peace.
