The politicians are just not interested in fixing things though. One of the first things to do if they were serious is to get proper consultation and revamp the entire TTPS. When you consider the annual national security budget, they can start doing this for a fraction of it in 5 years.

But they just sit up there, both sides, and are not affected, arguing about who thief more money, two wrongs make a right (the last government do it too) and society status... the common man cannot relate at all to this esoteric life that politicians create for themselves, and telling us that they're serving the country.

Then they pit us poor fools against each other to support their ideas to give each side more political power without real moral consequence of their actions.

^^^

Crime is big business

People making $$$ selling the tools of crime ..

The Police was revamped in Miami and New York within a short time period.

Only in Trini time stands still period.

However - do you think Crime and Gov't are intertwined ?

it is so easy to get rid of corrupt elements within MNS...all they need to do is run polygraphs every two years and with any hint of association with gang members, facilitating illegal activities and other stuff you would be instantly dismissed, no questions answered...I know of private companies that do this and they have no problems.

but then again, they want phd solutions from criminologists and well no one has the balls to do it
