Yes. But funds in USD not TTD like FCB Visa Card. . Im not sure currency of JMMB visa Card.
Other than that you stuck using Credit Cards (which most people will try to avoid).

Only problem I had was when using it through PayPal to purchase a part, there was a slight difference between the exchange rate RBL was quoting and that of PayPal. But now, they've decreased the limit significantly and they'll still take a commission on top of that..it's only 1% but with this stipulation...sometimes you have to wonder who the customer really is..us or them..

Yeah i got the email too. I guess if u want to buy something more than $100 u have to load each day. So for $300 load 100 each for 3 days. Hopefully they don't drastically reduce the maximum balance also.

VTM card is safer because it is a debit card, plus being VISA you can withdraw from PayPal in T&T.
No conversion rate when shopping in US since the card is solely in USD.

A VTM card is in US dollars only. If PayPal offered an exchange rate at checkout due to your geo-location, simply select "convert with card issuer" instead of with vendor. The amount will change to USD and there will be no exchange rate to pay.

Remember it's prepaid so I had to load it up. Me trying to cutback on the amount of commission RBL made off of me  I loaded the exact amount that I needed to make the purchase but when the site directed me to their PayPal section, the purchase wasn't going through at all. I then loaded $5.00 more and it went through seamlessly after that, so I guess there was a slight difference in the exchange rate RBL was using as opposed to that of PayPal.

VTM commission and purchase of US $ makes it expensive .
Then when you add the 7% tax and USA Tax & shipping charge .. etc.

Use credit card and get "cash back" or reward points :D

But the money in the card is US$ so why is exchange rate at the point of sale an issue?

The more surcharge ( the $5.00 US ) will translate into higher rate of exchange - or you just paying more to use US dollars. Keep in mind RBL rates are high already for purchase of the US to load the card.

With CC use, you pay the exchange rate at the time of post - and then the points rewards etc.

And any problems with the vendor - you can query the purchase .

Just an option :D

For those having issue with higher exchange rate with PayPal. Contact Paypal via website/webchat or email. By default they apply an exchange rate fee to card based on country the card is from even though rbl vtm card already in usd. Just contact them and tell them the card is already in usd. They will remove the exchange rate fee in a few hours.

there's a checkbox for that on the paypal checkout page.
Use the vendor exchange rate or card issuer.
If you use card issuer it takes it directly as USD from the card and no exchange rate is applied.
The exchange rate is only applied when you load the card, not when you purchase.
