What's the problem with a rain forecast being wrong? There's a hurricane to the north, it MAY cause rain as far south as Trinidad.

People need to understand how to perceive weather forecasts. key word being forecasts. its an estimate/prediction. There ares usually percentages which accompany these conditions that are the likelihood of such event occurring.

And you guys living in Trinidad. you should know by now the weather here changes by the second.

Rain will be here tonight, don't worry. Maria looks like she'll clip the eastern point of the dominican republic and turn into a fish storm, heading northeast.

While you are correct, how is it that our meteorologists get it wrong this much? I've experienced foreign forecasts that are accurate down to the quarter hour for rain, snow etc.

The direct hits by hurricanes this year are becoming mind-boggling.
The level of losses are transcending just issues of dollars and cents.
Nature is ensuring that we know our place in the 'order' of things.
.......Having to start our lives over, for us not so young people can be really a heart breaker.

I 'lowing the weather men thus rongs cause the region is so volatile that it may be difficult to say if the heat we get may or may not result in rain.

All in all, is a real sh!z storm we going through.

Usually the Pacific to tends to have a lot of typhoons.

But if u think about it, many of the gaseous planets has extreme cyclonic weather bands along their latitudes... Earth my finally be catching up.

Easier to predict weather when there is land all around.

those islands in for a pounding, her slow pace of only 9mph will make things worse

Forward motion has slowed as well to 9 mph so it'll spend more time over the islands.
