Does anyone have any recommendations of a small band or artiste that i can book to perform for a wedding, budget is 5k

Southex ceo George Singh has announced the 34 semifinalists for the Chutney Soca Monarch Competition to be held on Saturday January 13.

Of the 34 semi final contestants, only 8 will be selected to join the reigning champions for the Grand Final night.

My advice: DJ only. Most of them artistes come and try to get the crowd to do some nonsense... like wave and scream etc. Every time they start a song they stop to talk....

My humble opinion is to get a DJ and sit with him and explain the type of music you want to hear and u can't go wrong. That's what I did for my reception and it worked out really well.

Most of the weddings I've been to where there was an artiste was horrible.

Jus my 2cents

+ most have the song being played by the DJ already and half lip-sync it...
