Always wondered how people got through with the opportunity to go abroad and work for those plants as Trinidad is saturated and politics. I have applied rigzone and a few others and fit the requirements but most places not offering sponsorship . Any of you qualified guys know how to get through in these foreign companies

Anybody down here ever applied for a PPO position abroad and got through.. I'm looking specifically at Canada.. I have no experience in the petrochemical sector but I have been working as a PPO in water treatment for just under 4 years..

I think My downfall is my lack of education specifically a degree..
I have my O's A's (science subs)
EEET- cert, dip, adv dip.
Cert in PLC'S
Cert process operations -utt
And a few other small things like MS office with VB skills..

Think I could get through with anything Canada? I know it have a lot of experienced senior guys here..

True true but then again "Its not what you know is who you know" will forever be a thing internationally and locally. I trying to figure out how I can build my network since I kinda did sheit in the networking department when i was at utt[youtube][/youtube]

Any short courses anyone could recommend that may be an asset.. I'm already employed.. just looking to gain some more knowledge.. when I say short I mean like up to 1 year..

Wanna learn more on health and safety and/or operations and maintenance of large pumps/equipment..

Try something more along the line of finance and or project management.

If you are already in a technical field specializing may not be the best option in this climate, but project management, maintenance or finance or auditing might make you more versatile.

However if you truly love the technical stuff by all means...
