See the copyright? Most likely in such uploaded videos, the uploader did not have permission to use the photographer's work. Which would mean YouTube would shut down his entire channel because it probably was all stolen work.
The engineers at Google are still working on why the problem happened. It could be anything ranging from a ddos attack, to just 1 single more user watching a 4k stream and a server overheated somewhere that they never imagined could bring down the service.
It is kind of weird when people come up with the most ridiculous conspiracy theories that could just be explained by the simplest things eh? How in the world you tied in a copyright claim with YouTube going down in a few areas of the world?
