On the weekend of February 8th-10th, 2019 over 200 representatives from ASNs across the world attended the FIA’s third annual International Stewards Programme in Geneva, Switzerland. Geared towards educating stewards and race directors, the Programme incorporated stewards from all disciplines of motorsport and has grown exponentially since it’s inception in 2017.

Representing Trinidad and Tobago, was Fyzool Madan, the President of the Trinidad and Tobago Automobile Sport Association (TTASA). TTASA Trustee Selwyn Bunny Persad also attended.

The 3-day Programme consisted of real-world case studies, interactive recreations of the Stewards decisions, along with even having drivers such as Max Verstappen to discuss penalties awarded to him by Stewards in the Marrakesh E-Prix.

At the recent TTASA monthly members meeting, President Madan, relived the experience to the membership as he stayed true to his word in disseminating the information received- an action that has not been taken by any previous representative.

Stay tuned as we’re in communication with Mr. Madan for further information.
