Doesn’t it have an engine, steering and a team? Nice, another aspect of local motorsport so that’s why you’re seeing this here. Though not as popular as most other forms of motorsport locally, the Trinidad and Tobago Power Boat Association hosts Regattas throughout the year just as any other motorsport body. For the year 2015 there are 5 events carded, that is 4 regattas with the 5th event being the more popular and hyped Carib Great Race.

After Friday’s night’s short sharp shock treatment around the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, the hardy crews who set off from the Service Park at Tarouba first thing Saturday to tackle the real business of Rally Trinidad 2015, have, without doubt, been reminded of just how tough motor sport can be.

After a successful scrutineering session at Mosportt Restaurant & Grill last Wednesday, fans began pouring into the Hasely Crawford Stadium as early as three o’clock in anticipation of the first two stages of Rally Trinidad 2015. Despite the start of SS1 and SS2 being more than three hours apart – keep track of the Stages Directory on rallytrinidad.com – there was plenty to keep the fans interested, the venue bristling with activity as teams put the final touches to their cars, sponsor decals, competition wheels and tyres.

Fast left over Christmas! Into 90 left around Carnival, CAUTION don’t cut, into Jack and Jill! Yeah that’s right, Trinidad and Tobago Rally Club is back with its first instalment of their 2015 line up and no doubt, the Jack and Jill stage is out of hiatus! Though this weekend is only a “shakedown” event, the 5km course provided enough challenges with its twisty structure to keep drivers and co-drivers alike on their A game.
TTRC 2015 Rally Season Preparations
With the 2015 TTRC season due to kick off on Sunday March 8th in Couva, teams have been hard at work on their respective cars. Some teams are already ready to rumble while others were still racing against the clock to be prepped in time for the first event.

Trinidad & Tobago Team Tigers arrive in Guyana this week for the final round of the 2014 Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC) with a real chance of driving off with the coveted Country Championship title . . . if our team does pull it off, it will be a tremendous achievement in the T&T’s first season back in the CMRC for many years.
