Solodex 4
With the rainy season in full swing, the heavens decided to smile on Sunday July 18, and bless the fourth Solodex event of the year with a good dose of sunshine. Twenty one competitors came out to take on the Reyos Seebaran designed course, which turned out to be one of the faster courses in recent memory. With everything ranging from a stock Honda Civic sedan to Jody Ali’s monstrous Time Attack Subaru Impreza STi, there was no shortage of action.
TTJSRF Jet Ski Racing Championship #2
On Sunday 17th July, the Trinidad & Tobago Jet Ski Racing Federation kicked off its second round of championship Jet Ski Racing at the San Fernando Yacht club. Spectators were treated to a compact day of Jet Ski racing action, with twice the amount of participants as the last event. Two of the three classes were both fully subscribed – the 901 to 1200 cc and the 1200 cc and over and supercharged.. The smallest class, 601 – 900 cc, had no competitors for this event.
Sheldon Bissessar wins the 4th Of July Pro Extreme Dragster Race in Kentucky USA
The Trinidad Rocket driving his methanol powered supercharged hemi dragster wins his 4th consecutive race for 2010. The IHRA Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour at Mountain Park Dragway Clay City Kentucky saw Sheldon qualifying in the number one spot Friday night with 3.90 seconds at 186 MPH run. With two more qualifying runs on Saturday, Sheldon still managed to hold on to the number one spot. Rocky Flanagan of Tennessee and Melissa Hudson of Florida held on to the 2nd and 3rd spots respectively.
Rally Tobago 2010
The second annual Tobago House of Assembly (THA) Rally Festival came off without a hitch as rally fans flocked to Courland Estate, Tobago to witness the spectacle that was Rally Tobago 2010. John Powell, co-driven by Nick Telfer took the top spot, just edging last year’s winner Barry McKenzie who took second place. The event was sponsored by the THA, ULTRA Lubricants, STAG a Man’s Beer, Dasani Water, Full Throttle Energy Drink and Tropical Power.
THA Tobago Rally Festival – This Weekend!!!
As this weekend draws near, rally drivers all over Trinidad, are feverishly putting the final touches and tweaking to their cars, in preparation for the sea-bound journey to Tobago Their families, service crew, media, well-wishers and sponsors are also caught up in the rally excitement. We are so appreciative of the THA’s patronage. This is the 2nd episode of Rally Tobago and the TTRC has 25 driver teams in total inclusive of 2 from Jamaica and Barbados.

The Car Craft tradition of automotive innovation continued last Sunday at the infamous Kay Donna Drive-Inn Cinema. This time around Roger Perreira teamed up with Andy’s Wheels to bring the some of the hottest customs in the island to one place.
TTKA Karting #5
Mid morning showers raised everyone’s eye brows last Sunday as it looked to be a day for grooved racing tyres, rain suits and plenty of spins. It so happens that the whether quickly turned around and the day was quite a scorcher. Even with the absence of the shifter karts the action didn’t seem to let up. The day ran rather smoothly and the TTKA had enough time to put on a display race which saw racers from almost every class compete and provide plenty of entertainment.
Trini’s go to F1 in Montreal
After years of dreaming and months of planning this trini photograhper and his able assistant finally arrived at the pinnacle of motorsport, a Formula 1 event the Grand Prix du Montreal 2010. Armed with a full 3 day pass, a Paddock pass and borrowed and rented lenses i was ready for burst mode. For the next 3 days we were treated to Ferrari races, historic Formula 1 races, wild crazy F1 fans, Celebrities and F1 drivers and the greatest of them all, the real live sound of 18,000 rpm on machines more technically advanced than the average jetliner .
