TTRC THA Rally Tobago 2011
The TTRC’s THA Rally Tobago 2011 speed stages event kicked off with the drivers having to go slow and cautious through the muddy stage, by lunchtime however the stage dried up nicely and the action increased,the team of John “Penti” Powell and Nick Telfer in the Mitsubishi Evolution 10 defended there title.
Sol Rally Barbados 2011
A second consecutive victory in last weekend’s Sol Rally Barbados 2011 (June 4/5) – his 12th in the event’s 22-year history – further reinforced Roger ‘The Sheriff’ Skeete’s reputation as the island’s top driver; with all 24 planned stages completed without major interruption, the organising Barbados Rally Club is celebrating a successful weekend.
Rally Barbados – Shell V-Power King of the Hill 2011
Sol International Rally Barbados is officially here and it seems that the Bajan team of Roger “The Sheriff” Skeete and Louis Venezia are favorites to retain the title after washing away the field at the “King of the Hill” shakedown yesterday in his S12 Wrc Subaru Impreza. Local Trini hot shot John “Penti” Powell will need to step up his game if he wants to finally take home the coveted Sol Rally Barbados prize.
TTRC Rally #3 – Bronte’s Revenge
This event was action packed as it fell between TTRC’s biggest championship events for the year: Rally Trinidad & Rally Tobago. The Bronte stage is a mix of two stages that were used in Rally Trinidad 2011. The jump was back as well as the famous RedBull corner. There was an improved pit area so crews and spectators were close to the action.
Rally Trinidad 2011 Mayor’s Cup Saith Park
RT11 ended in Saith Park Chaguanas as in previous years. This leg was patronised by His Worship Mayor Orlando Nagassar and well attended by an enthusiastic crowd that lined the streets and every possible vantage point. They were treated to some spectacular driving by Panton, Powell and Gill, who eventually captured the coveted Mayor’s Cup title and trophy. Son of Chaguanas Ainsley Lochan, who did not compete this year, brought RT11 to a finale by making an appearance in his colourful EVO IX and delighted the fans with some fancy driving.

The Rally Action then shifted early on Saturday and Sunday to the southlands of Bronte and Cedar Hill where the high quality technical stages prepped with the invaluable assistance of the Junior Sammy Group of Companies, tested the mettle, skill and endurance of all 29 competitors.

Rally Trinidad 2011 Stadium Shakedown
For each successive year over the last 4 years, Rally Trinidad has been showing tremendous growth. Rally Trinidad 2011 began with the Opening Ceremony on the Friday in the Hasely Crawford Stadium with 2 special night runs in front of a 2000-strong cheering crowd.
