Whats the cost for a trekRedman wrote:Gene Samuel sells the Trek brand- mine has held up pretty well.....
you can get a solid bike new for that- and probably a used one for less.
Their after sales support is great too.
Cool, called bike in they have no fugi till june 2021, only 2 19" left . So looking at other optionsRedman wrote:My 820 was mid 3000s in 2018-which was the last time i checked.
Although I would have got it 2016/7 ish.
No issues with it-other than a broken axle which they had in stock and replaced.
Yeah check Gene, his staff are cyclists so they will advised you on sizing and set your saddle and reach positionFireflyrain7 wrote:Whats the cost for a trekRedman wrote:Gene Samuel sells the Trek brand- mine has held up pretty well.....

Whats the average cost for those bikes , so far fugi within budget at 3500 and also they said they can facilitate a payment plan for me, the only downside they out of stock, so might just start to pay easy so by the time they get stock im fully paid out.VexXx Dogg wrote:Check Motorcycle ETC in Cunupia.
They carry the cannondale brand and I've recently switched from specialized to cannondale.
Good folks, and really good prices.
Honestly it depends on what you looking for. Check them on Facebook or IG, they usually very responsiveFireflyrain7 wrote:Whats the average cost for those bikes , so far fugi within budget at 3500 and also they said they can facilitate a payment plan for me, the only downside they out of stock, so might just start to pay easy so by the time they get stock im fully paid out.VexXx Dogg wrote:Check Motorcycle ETC in Cunupia.

Cool thanks for the advice. I cut grass as my hustle, did engineering in uwi but got laid off awhile back, so not looking for anything beyond my means, the fugi within price range, reviews are good about it and most of all the payment plan works for me. I think the fugi and the couple others are good balance of quality and price. Just using that bike as a good warm up ride to the gym, train and ride back. Its just the couple mad drivers on the road these days, but will deal with that when that time comes. Thanks fellas for the advice i know where to come for advice.zoom rader wrote:Buying a bike is a can of worms.Fireflyrain7 wrote:Whats the average cost for those bikes , so far fugi within budget at 3500 and also they said they can facilitate a payment plan for me, the only downside they out of stock, so might just start to pay easy so by the time they get stock im fully paid out.VexXx Dogg wrote:Check Motorcycle ETC in Cunupia.

Rich folk buy expensive bikes thinking it will make them faster.
They spend thousands on a very light bike to go faster and all they have to do it lose weight which cost nothing.
Then you have very cheap bikes which are mostly junk and potential death traps.
Word of advice is stay clear of disc brakes bikes, they are crap which over heats and causes problems. The bike industry pushers dics brakes cause it's more money for them.
Carbon mountain bikes, often will crack and shatter on hard impacts. Aluminum is the better bike , it can withstand impacts but gives you stiffer and very harsh ride Aluminium over time and use will start to flex and that's when you have change it . Expect 5 years service on an aluminum bike if riden at racing level and training
Stick to an aluminum bike and rim brake wheels. Don't use Carbon handle bars cause it will shatter on impact.
Look for Japanese made parts on bike, they are the very best for money and will last you. Stay clear from Chinese bike parts.
Top notch advice from an experienced cyclist.zoom rader wrote:Buying a bike is a can of worms.Fireflyrain7 wrote:Whats the average cost for those bikes , so far fugi within budget at 3500 and also they said they can facilitate a payment plan for me, the only downside they out of stock, so might just start to pay easy so by the time they get stock im fully paid out.VexXx Dogg wrote:Check Motorcycle ETC in Cunupia.

You can't go wrong on a Fuji plus their parts are reasonable good value.Fireflyrain7 wrote:Cool thanks for the advice. Excellent advice, I did just that. Bought 4 used Fugi bikes for the price of one and they are working fine for now. Its just for family fun so I dont need all the fancy stuff.VexXx Dogg wrote:Top notch advice from an experienced cyclist.zoom rader wrote:Buying a bike is a can of worms.Fireflyrain7 wrote:Whats the average cost for those bikes , so far fugi within budget at 3500 and also they said they can facilitate a payment plan for me, the only downside they out of stock, so might just start to pay easy so by the time they get stock im fully paid out.VexXx Dogg wrote:Check Motorcycle ETC in Cunupia.

Just get the best gear to fit your pocket. Plenty options boil down to personal preference. Have fun on your journey, buddy.
If you want to save a lot of cash, look for used bikes on Facebook. When looking at used bikes look for frame damage/cracks, and the condition of the mech. Drivetrain components can add up.
