Postby ravstaar » June 14th, 2011, 11:35 pm

sup fellas....a little advise needed for a padna of mine.he is presently running a 1000+ rms 2 ch amp on a pair of RCF 10s wired at 4 ohms bridged, the thing is he is thinking bout adding 2 more tens into the equation.what we both want 2 know is if this said amp can run all 4 -10 inch efficiently, loud and clean, and how this should be wired,or if an additional 2 ch amp is required or recommended...........let meh know,thanks....... :? :? :?

another 2 ch amp is what you need.highly doubt a 2 ch amp can play 4 10s.

pioneer I am really sure that they not using the amp you posted there,my statement was for the general 2ch amps out there.therefore,we have to ask the guy what kind amp is he using to play the tens and then determine whether it is possible to play all four.not so??

the only thing is they way more expensive than a pyramid amp.but I have seen a few of these in some installations before,

http://www.cadencestore.com/ProductCart ... roduct=323

these are the correct specs of that amp, at 2ohms this amp only gives out 600,so id say the rcf's are being under powered, therefore get another 2ch.

i would imagine that he would have a real loud baseline if he wishes to use 4 10s.

a man come asking if he cud use one 2 ch amp to run his 4 10s and allyuh on he tail for using 4 10s?

OP, u need another 2 channel to play the 4 10s,
you can wire the amp down with 4 10s it will go bridged at below 2 ohms, and if it does not go into protect it would play all 4 at low volume.
but when you crank it, is either the amp would go into protect or the power supply section of the amp would fry.

get another 2 channel amp
or use one 2 channel that could play bridged at 2 ohms once it has the power rating

you ever used the cadence 3002 yet??
EHHH?
NO.
I DID.
It can properly play a pair of tens even tho its overrated. Its good enough for a daily system.
It cannot play 4 10s however.

If a man come say he want to put 4 10s in he car, I wont do like you and start to bash,
dont tell ppl how to spend they money when they didnt ask you ok?

good , u now start to act civilized & explaining why u needed 4 10s

hope u have enough current to back up all that

nice system ... there are some powerful 2ohm stable amps like d old skool usamps usa 400 or 2000 which will play all 4 10s , also both stetsom & sound digital have a 2ohmstable full range mono ...but if u want it a bit louder u can do 2 good 2channel amps ..

well we cant really say how loud the baseline is we've never heard it.But if a proper install is done and a good box is used then nope its not.

from what i have seen\heard 4 10s & 4 drivers with some good clean power & d enclosure of course will get stinking LOUD

what u think d green civic used to have , that kept up with his 6 15s bassline & used to echo in d national stadium , it was 1 of d least amt of speakers\drivers used loudest clearest mids i ever heard ....

remember installation is the key and a good technician as well, if he gets a combination of both he should be good to go. d green civic had this for sure.

hmm i jus askin right.. if a speaker is 8ohms and u parallel the 4 speakers isnt it suppose to be playing at 2ohms?? jus asking eh ppl

so if it would play at 2ohms how come this would happen
"you can wire the amp down with 4 10s it will go bridged at below 2 ohms"

which leads to my next question.. then if a 10" rcf is 8ohms how come it is said that the "Minimum Impedance:6.7 Ω"
quoted from
http://www.rcf.it/web/rcf/products/prec ... /l10-750yk

so if the minimum impedance is 6.7ohms how would it be able to go to 2ohms ????????

what series of stetsom are you talking about and which sound digital. I always wondered how ppl used those amps including Taramps to run mid range speakers.

stetsom 2k5e,unsure about the sound digital though,it a class ab amplifier that's why it can be used for midrange as well.has the potential to play 4 RCF'S comfortably.
