did you need to read the entire Qur'an, Torah or Gita before you claim the Bible is right?turbotusty wrote:it's just smarter to look at the whole picture before u make a judgement.

Ezekiel 1:
5 Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.
6 And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.
7 And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.
8 And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.
9 Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.
10 As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.
11 Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.
12 And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went.
13 As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.
Revelation 4:
6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
7 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Ignorance is no joke though. And your chock filled with it.
Hinduism is based not on the Ramayana which is what most Trinidadians associate the religion with. Those ten headed men and monkey gods you refer to are from that book.
Hinduism is based on the Vedas which consists of four books which I am sure you have never read. To a lesser extent it is also heavily based on the Gita, also not the story book you may be expecting.

i have read the gita tho i cant remember if i read the entire thing. but i did go thru it. ive consulted all the books. and have studied large portions of each including ancient religious studies of various ancient cultures.
but the thing is.. i entertain both the religious/spiritual as well as the scientific/logical. i am well abreast of scientific affairs. i dont reject it as others reject spirituality as a farce whilst biding wholly and soley in science.
yes i even believe in forging a unity between science and religion. which is already in the process of becoming a reality.
and yes i had to study all of them to get the whole picture. tho im not claiming only the bible is right. im claiming all of them are. in fact. i found the eastern asian teachings to be the easiest to understand and most beneficial. but i could not understand them and their relation without first studying the bible and the other ancient teachings.
Dizzy28 wrote:^ By ya'll you referring to Hindus right? I have stated before within this thread I believe in a oneness/singularity of God. This one god doesn't care that you call him Jesus, Yahweh, Krishna, Allah, Flying Spaghetti monster. But he is dissapointed when you take his any of his names and wage hate, ignorance, fear and wars all in the name of who is right. But just as with any of the established religions thats an opinion though. (My opinion)
