Morgan Freeman talking foolishness. Talking about racism does not cause racism, infact talking sensibly about race and racism is an important way for it to be addressed towards people being aware of their own racism. Secondly, identifying people by their race is not racist not does it necessary contribute towards racism. People being of different racial groups or being different is not the source of racism, but moreso, it is the attitudes, values and false racial preferences that cause racism.
Thirdly, people way well think they could be colour blind or race blind, but that is just their own delusions. They could not call someone white, black or indian and still be very racist. Racial hierarchies and preferences whether stemming from European colonialism, Hindu religious roots or Islamic conquest activities are too deeply embedded in the human psyche to be easily dismissed or overcome.
I think people have to move past seeing racism as overt hostile acts and see it as something that is deeply imbedded in most people through conditioning. The rampant racism often expressed on this forum is a testament to what we are dealing with.

No, we already correlate but it's not seen as a "fair" arrangement by some, in particular the ones that seem to think that they are only given what is rejected by the ones that hold the "higher" stakes. As Mr. Freeman says, it's all in our mind, "I think therefore I am." I think I am inferior and therefore I behave inferior.
In this Country, the "Africans" are perceived as lazy and will work only if it is absolutely necessary, the Indians are perceived as jealous of their own (crab in a bucket). The Syrians and Chinese have associations and keep things within their community as much as possible. The Muslims also seems to have a similar approach. They have created a community within themselves that limits their reliance on others outside of their community, hence racism does not affect them (eliminate all races but one) The Indians are too jealous of their own to create it and the Africans are too lazy to create it. They now have what we want but we don't want to do what they have done.
IMHO, racism is only a problem for those who feel the other race is better off, if you are contented with the results of your efforts, I really can't see racism being a problem.
How is it that BP can make in excess of $1 billion US in 3 months right here in Trinidad but PETROTRIN takes a whole year to make the same amount..... poor management....see the answer? we can't even manage ourselves and it shows in our management of our organizations. We want the benefits without the responsibility and accountability. My motto is "I should not want what my neighbour has if I am not prepared to do what they did to get it"

This makes a lot of sense also. Only thing I would object to, Mr Freeman isn't talking foolishness, he is just expressing his opinion, just as you did. Not everyone would have the same opinion but doesn't mean it's wrong because it doesn't support yours
One thing I wanted to ask you, is what you think causes these ideals to be embedded into the psyche?
