AutoSport Promotions held their annual Championship Awards for 2000 at Kam Po Restaurant in Chaguanas just before the Christmas long weekend. The event was well attended with many regulars coveting Championship awards along with some new faces to drag racing.

Last Sunday the motor sports fans in heaven saw to it that there was no rain so that the event went ahead with out any down pour. Race fans turned out in the thousands to witness what promised to be a day full of action. This is what we saw.

Old habits die-hard. After an eighteen-year absence from Wallerfield, a revitalized Gordon Gonsalves silenced twenty odd veteran and rookie racers yesterday, by capturing the Carib 2000 Stock Car Series Championship.

The Toyota Castrol 500 Championship Rally was held on Sat. 11th and Sun. 12th November, the eleventh and final championship event on the Rally Club's calendar for 2000, with the Tulip Rally and Treasure Hunt being held on Saturday and the High Speed Stages on Sunday.

SouthEx , what is becoming the largest annual exposition in Trinidad, took on an 'information age' theme this, their 10th year, with the catch phrase "e-Business or Out of Business". Many technology and auto related companies participated in the trade show, including TriniTuner.com.

At the end of it all the Solodex 2000 Champion is decided, after heavy competition, fair play and intense fun see who is crowned The Top Driver 2000.

5 races down, 1 to go. The fight for the Series Championship is on. With the continual rainfall, the event lived up to expectations by providing all in attendance with lots of spills and thrills.

Big Boyz Toyz sponsored event at Reform, just off .phparillo was not hampered by rain but rather covered in dust. The TriniTuner crew arrived at the course for the event to witness the 12 car line up.

Dubbed Eroticar, the car show held at The Anchorage on Saturday was touted as a showcase for the exotic cars in Trinidad.

As with most new fads, we Trini's can't see a good thing and not be a part of it. Such is the case in my newfound love of Solodex.
